We do this through our members and supporters being involved in sporting, 

recreation or leisure opportunities.  

We work with a range of organisations and partners to make our members 

sporting and recreational lives as great as possible.

Parafed Welcomes New Committee Members

Parafed Wellington welcomed two new committee members at the AGM on Sunday 22 April.
Mark Melvin has joined as Treasurer and Mark Watson as a Committee Member.

Mark M has been involved with Parafed Wellington for a few years, his son Liam is a member of our Youth Group. He is a qualified accountant and has recently started working for Scouts NZ as Head of Business Services.

Mark Watson is new to NZ from Scotland and is currently employed by Laura Fergusson Trust working in programmes both at Laura Fergusson and also in the community.

Mark W has a degree in psychology and is also a chef.

Parafed Wellington President, Alan Signal, thanked outgoing Treasurer Colleen Dryden for all her hard work over the last 8 years. Colleen has held a number of positions while involved with Parafed Wellington, including Committee Member, Treasurer and President.

Greg Reid also stood down from the committee this year to focus more on his sport and training. Greg has represented New Zealand in Shooting Para Sport at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, and 2017 and 2018 World Shooting Para Sport World Cups.
