Parafed Wellington
Inspire, Enable, Achieve

Welcome to Parafed Wellington

At Parafed Wellington we inspireenable and achieve.

We do this through our members and supporters being involved in sporting,

recreation or leisure opportunities.

We work with a range of organisations and partners to make our members

sporting and recreational lives as great as possible.

We are raising money to help the Youth Group go to the Halberg Games  in Auckland in October.

We’d love to see you, your friends, family and workmates join us for the evening.

Laura Stuart finishes New York Marathon

Parafed Wellington member Laura Stuart completed the New York Marathon in a time of 4hrs 15mins and 57 seconds in the womens wheelchair division.
Laura was supported by Parafed Wellington and Invacare with the provision of a race wheelchair for training. Parafed Auckland also loaned Laura a race chair which she took to New York to race in.
This is the first time in many years a Parafed Wellington member has competed in the marathon.
Thanks to Achilles International NZ for arranging this great trip.
